Beuchat Mundial One 50cm Short Spearfishing Fin

Introducing the superb Mundial One 50 diving fins from Beuchat.

This diving fin is perfect for those needing a fin shorter than a conventional long fin.

Start Point Spearfishing recommended this fin for beginners and those spearfishing are predominantly doing shore dives and not regularly diving deeper that 8m. A shorter fin is easier to swim with on the surface as the reduced blade area is easier to push through the water compared to a longer fin.

Equally, if not regularly diving deeper than approximately 8m, the increased surface area of a long fin creates more resistance and drag, which is not beneficial in shallow conditions. 

Although the “blade” is 50cm the overall fin (including the foot pocket) is approx 79cm (based on a pair of 45/46).

This means that these fins will often fit in a suit case for travel. A conventional pair of long fins would be slightly longer approx 91cm. This extra length is often the difference between the fins fitting in the case or not.

Being slightly shorter the fins are easier to power.
